From the 17th century the iron bar brand is used.

1928

Jørgen Skafte Rasmussen acquires the company

1933

The private company is renamed the limited partnership "Kommanditgesellschaft Eisen- und Flugzeugwerke Erla"

1950

The company is renamed the VEB Eisenwerk Erla (nationally owned enterprise in the GDR)

1959

Acquisition of the licence for the Croning process (main user in the East of Germany)

1964

Start of smelting in duplex operation (cupola furnace + induction channel furnace)

1973

Commissioning of the first Disamatic moulding machine (application of the high-pressure squeeze moulding process)

1994

The company is taken over by the Schubert & Salzer Group, accompanied by comprehensive technical and structural reconstruction and extension (introduction of medium-frequency melting furnaces; construction of a flask moulding machine using the impact method ; reorganisation and extension of the core production capacity)

2007

Sale of the company to the Indian Sanmar Group and realisation of extensive investments in equipment, buildings and infrastructure to maintain and expand the company's market position in the automotive industry

2011

Change in shareholder to the Indian Dynamatic Group with the objective of further strengthening the company's image and presence in the automotive industry, especially in the market segment for turbines (turbochargers) and exhaust manifolds
